ICCAS’ types of associates

ICCAS is a nonprofit organization, whose highest governing body is the General Assembly of Members, who appoints the members of the Board of Directors for its management under the control of the Auditors that make up the Control Body.


According to our Bylaws, there are three types of associates:

These are companies or institutions that pay an annual membership and have the following benefits:

  • They are full members of the Assembly with voice and vote
  • Can be elected to be part of the Board of Directors and the Oversight Body
  • Can take part in the Working Groups and access specific benefits

The membership for companies and institutions is calculated according to these categories, defined by General Resolution 220/2019 of the Secretariat of Entrepreneurs and Small and Medium Enterprises (Resolución General 220/2019 de la Secretaría de Emprendedores y de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa)

  • Small contributors


Any legal person or a subsidiary of the same that is dedicated to the production, marketing, sale or distribution of tobacco products will not qualify as a partner.

Are those that support specific projects (activities, publications, research projects, etc.), either once or sporadically.

As Benefactor Partners, they will be able to participate in one (1) working group and access training at no cost during the year in which they collaborate.

They are those individual persons from the public and private sectors, characterized by their scientific or professional training, representatives of Universities, Research Institutes, Government Organizations or who, for any other circumstance, prove, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, the scientific capacity, time and the dedication required to contribute to the development of the objectives of this Association

An Honorary Member has the following benefits:

  • Are exempt from paying the membership fee
  • Are full members of the Assembly with voice and vote
  • Can be elected to integrate the Board of Directors and the Oversight Body
  • Can participate in all the Working Groups and access specific benefits
